Thats Right you read it correct. Rover Dog has worked his spots off to bring you Reverse cut 4:10 and 4:75 R&P for the front of your D1 D2 RRC D90 and NON Sal D110s. This should make every one extra happy because the price is $328!! We also have the matching gears for the rear in the standard cut.
What?

Project Unicorn

The old L8 Disco is gone daddy gone. The 13 year old body started to show its age and Im sure the heavy trail use did not help.

Shaky and Rover Dog pulled off all the goodies and save the most important part. The 4.6 and the R380 5spd gear box.

So are goal is to put the 4.6 and the R380 in to our new D2 project truck nick named the Unicorn. You ask why is this unique? Please allow me to explain. First off there was no 5 speed NAS " North American Spec" D2's. To make thing worse from the info I dug up Land Rover only made a 1000 for the rest of the world. I know what your saying " stop crying and stuff it in the truck " Well that will bring us to the second problem. We are trying to put a GEMS " General Engine Management System " motor in to a Bosch controlled truck. As you can imagine most of the parts will not mate up. Are plan is to strip all the need parts from the original 4.0 motor and put them on the old GEMS block. This was going along swimmingly until we came across the CkPS " Crank Position Sensor" . This little bit bolts to a welded tab on the Bosch motor.

It is different than the welded part on the GEMS motor.

We can grind off the parts and weld them into place. Rover Dog and I are not to excited to grind on a nice and fresh motor but it should be pretty easy.
This brings us to the HARD part. The Bosch computer is looking for a signal it reads of the flywheel. Yep you guessed it the old flywheel is different. So we are on the hunt for a D2 Bosch V8 5spd flywheel, or more simply put we need a Unicorn.

Ill keep you posted as we hunt for Unobtainium
